located at 80 kilomèters of Paris, Giverny a very charming village at the limit of Ile de France and de la Normandy. It's here that Claude Monet
decided to move in this place in order to develop his passions such as painting, gardening and photography. the gardens and Monet's House were passed by his son Michel to the Academy of Arts in 1966. Besides the house, restored as the painter lived, the tour includes the artist's studio and a walk in the wonderful garden.

Claude Monet lived in this house from 1883 to 1926
au rez-de-chaussée : le « petit salon bleu » (salon de lecture), l'épicerie (entrepôt), le salon atelier, la salle à manger (sur les murs, la collection d'estampes japonaises) et la cuisine (aux carreaux bleus de Rouen, une immense cuisinière et des ustensiles de cuivre)

au premier étage : les appartements privés avec la chambre de Monet (bureau à cylindre et commode du XVIIIe siècle), la chambre d'Alice et leurs cabinets de toilette. Devant la maison, les jardins se composent

The Watergarden
Shady by the Willows weeping
